Divine Alchemy- A Healing Workshop Utilizing Diasporic Ancestral Wisdom with Candice D'Meza

  • Institute of Integrative Health Specialists and Holistic Wellness Center, LLC 2950 South Gessner Road Houston, TX, 77063 United States (map)

Many of us have the vision, goals and intentions, but get stuck. Let African diasporic wisdom help you hone new energy and renewal this year

Start this new year off by digging deeper into intentional self-care. Candice D'Meza will share her offering of Black Folx Alchemy, a robust 251 page workbook offering a year’s worth of quotes, affirmations, thought provoking reflections, journal prompts, and activities designed for Black folx who are navigating the complexities of living in a society that has historically marginalized and oppressed them. Using the metaphor of alchemy, this workbook guides you through a transformative process of turning the challenges, obstacles, and pain that you may encounter in life into sources of growth, healing, and resilience. Join us as we come together to make sense of the energy, determination, and excitment that often accompanies the start of each year.

"As a spiritist, mother and womb-bearer, I promote a spiritual community that is intersectional—exploring the ways that spirit liberates and empowers us to actively create free worlds."

"My focus is on the overlaps in indigenous and Diasporic African practices and worldviews with other mystic traditions. Understanding that the role of a mystic is to explore the mystery, I open to soul-aligned wisdom wherever it presents: whether that be through Sufi texts, contemplative Christian practices, Buddhist philosophy, or any other mystery system that aids in a growth of self that connects to positive impact on community."
